What is Coaching?
Coaching is a form of development in which an experienced person supports a learner or client in achieving a specific personal or professional goal by providing training and guidance. Occasionally, coaching may mean an informal relationship between two people, of whom one has more experience and expertise than the other and offers advice and guidance as the latter learns; but coaching differs from mentoring by focusing on specific tasks or objectives, as opposed to more general goals or overall development.
About Me
With nearly 40 years of business experience in diverse sectors (Banking, Sales, Insurance, Manufacturing, Healthcare, I.T, Pharma etc), Ultan has gained a wealth of knowledge on the challenges facing many industries and their employees. This information is incredibly useful in being relevant to the needs of coachees, understanding their pressure-points and working together to identify possible solutions.
Degrees and Diplomas are held in Adult and Continuing Education, Counselling as well as Life and Business Coaching. Other qualifications include CELTA, MBTI (Myers Briggs Type Indicator), NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) and Six Sigma etc.
About You
Some of the characteristics of people who may benefit from coaching include: Those who have self-limiting beliefs, have lost enthusiasm or passion, feel stagnant or stuck in a task or indeed the job itself, are anxious or stressed, procrastinate and then don't follow through once they have started on something. Often they experience conflict with colleagues at work due to frustrations with some or all of the above.
